Description
**Why this matters:** The customer journey walkthrough is the next major onboarding phase after reward/structure lock-in. Gary is queued to start building it, but the experience hasn't been designed yet — what does the merchant see? Text-based flow vs animation? What information does the agent decide to show vs always show? Without shaping this, Gary will either block or build something that needs rework. **Scope:** Define the walkthrough experience: what it covers (referral journey from customer POV), format (text flow vs animation vs hybrid), when the agent triggers it vs skips it, and what 'done' looks like for the merchant. Produce a brief or spec Gary can build from. **Open questions from standup:** - Existing customer journey animation — include, replace, or drop? - Text-based flow easier for merchants to digest? (Gary raised this) - Should the agent decide whether to show the walkthrough based on merchant context, or always show it? - Does the existing test mode feature get removed/replaced? **Source signal:** 2026-04-13 referral standup — Gary asked about animation inclusion, Zach deferred. This needs a design pass before Gary starts.
